Corn Dollies Making Class
Corn Dollies Making Class
Discover the ancient art of making corn dollies, a craft that dates back thousands of years. Traditionally created from the last sheaves of the harvest, corn dollies were made as a symbol of good fortune and to honor the spirit of the crops. In this hands-on class, you will learn the history behind this charming tradition and craft your own intricate corn dollies using Hopi Dye Corn from my garden. Perfect for beginners and craft enthusiasts alike, this class offers a unique glimpse into agricultural folklore and a chance to create beautiful keepsakes or gifts.
In this 2 1/2 hr class you will be able to make one or more corn dollies. All materials will be provided, however, you are encouraged to bring your own ephemera such as dried flowers, fabric scraps, wool roving, lace, yarn, decorative paper, beads, etc.
Suitable for all ages 10 and older. Youngers are welcome with an adult.
I can bring this class to your art studio or suitable location. Class can be taught in my Magical Botanical Studio after Oct. 15.
